Project Eligibility
The Lancaster Industrial Development Agency evaluates each potential project according to the established Countywide Industrial Development Agency Uniform Tax Exemption Policy. In order to be eligible for IDA incentives, the applicant and/or its proposed occupant must be engaged in a permissable business activity as identified in the Countywide Industrial Agency Uniform Tax Exemption Policy.
Lancaster NY IDA Application Process
Upon contacting the LIDA to inquire about the eligibility of your project, a preliminary meeting will be held with LIDA staff members, the client and the client’s advisors. An application is prepared by the applicant and reviewed by Neil & Strong, Attorneys & Counselors, P.C., as counsel to the LIDA. Upon determining the eligibility of the project, it must then be presented to the LIDA Board of Directors for final approval. All IDA projects eligible for benefits greater than $100,000 require a Public Hearing to be held before approval of the project can be granted.
